Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Application Technology division at Dürr Systems Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, from mid-size application systems to small upgrades, and will work closely with the customer to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Coordinate with the customer to understand their technical requirements and ensure that the project team is aware of and follows these requirements.
  • Make technical decisions regarding equipment function and design to comply with project contracts.
  • Review customer process requirements and select equipment needed to meet these requirements.
  • Prepare project status updates and budget reports for the Director.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing projects in electrostatic paint and sealer systems, robotics, or automation systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical products relating to paint and sealer application equipment and robotic systems.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of US codes and regulations.
  • Experience with Quality systems, such as ISO 9000, QS 9000, and ISO 14001.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and delegate tasks to department employees as required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to maintain confidentiality as required.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Adaptable to change in a learning environment.
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to obtain a passport.
  • Spanish and/or German language skills would be beneficial.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision. Employee must be able to fly and drive. Employee must be able to climb stairs and ladders, wearing appropriate fall protection as needed. Incumbent is required to work with and near equipment such as industrial paint robots, pumps, etc. in a manufacturing setting.
