Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ascension St Joseph Hospital. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients, working closely with physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take radiologic films to provide quality images to physicians.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report any potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Lock/tag out equipment as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and other areas.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Limited Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

Work Schedule:

  • 7a-3:30p, with rotating Saturdays and participation in the on-call rotation.
  • ~8:30a-5p, with rotating Saturdays and participation in the on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operating Room (Surgery) experience.
