Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to maintain clear and concise communication.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures, including those related to operational responsibilities, disciplinary occurrences, and emergency management.
  • Maintain high standards of facility cleanliness, re-stock inventory, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Implement age-appropriate program activities, promote safe interactions among children, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Support wellness teammates by performing duties as requested by supervisors, attending staff meetings, and helping develop effective goals.

Requirements:

  • No education requirements, but CPR certification within one month from hire date is necessary.
  • Experience in childcare, youth programs, or related fields is preferred.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of leading and participating in program activities.

UNC Health offers a competitive salary range of $17.00 - $23.46 per hour (Hiring Range), with pay determined by experience and internal equity. This is a state position with UNC Health benefits, and qualified applicants will be considered without regard to their background.
