Job Description
The Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in the perioperative team, serving as an advocate for patients undergoing anesthesia and/or sedation. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will be responsible for managing nursing care within the OR through observing the surgical team from a broad perspective and assisting the team in creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
This role involves coordinating complete nursing assessments and care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching for assigned patients within the Operating Room, and supervising and directing patient care in a single operating room as well as two local procedure rooms.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and hold a current Kentucky RN License. Additionally, you should possess certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). You must also demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
