Job Summary:

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shuttle Bus Driver to transport passengers to and from assigned locations. As a Shuttle Bus Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including those with special needs, and providing excellent customer service to guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport passengers to and from assigned locations, ensuring timely and safe arrival and departure.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including those with special needs, using specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts and tie-downs.
  • Help passengers load and unload luggage as needed.
  • Inspect vehicles regularly to identify any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues and perform routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities.
  • Meet patrons needing assistance to and from various airport locations and lots.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, responding to inquiries in a courteous manner and giving directions to nearest highways, destinations, etc.
  • Maintain and enforce bus evacuation plans and coordinate bus evacuation activities as necessary.
  • Immediately report any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
  • Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment and fuel use logs.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, disinfecting the shuttle after each use.
  • Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 1-year experience required, with on-the-job training provided.
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
  • This role requires a CDL-B with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of prior work experience as a passenger shuttle bus driver is required.
