Mold Maker

Prototek Digital Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our team. As a Mold Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality silicone and urethane parts using proficient mold making methods and techniques.

• Design and develop molds for various geometries to ensure maximum efficiency in the department
• Identify material properties and applications based on job requirements
• Change silicone dispenser barrels and troubleshoot pneumatic complications
• Lay-up molds with correct parting line and venting locations
• Perform diagnostics on all mold types and implement accurate solutions
• Recognize malfunctions of urethane and silicone dispensers and troubleshoot accordingly
• Apply knowledge of material reactions and additives as needed per job
• Assist in maintaining and organizing production supply and material inventory
• Inspect cast part features and surfaces for imperfections or anomalies
• Collaborate with supervisor, project managers, and other shop personnel to clarify project requirements and resolve issues
• Perform visual inspection of parts per specifications
• Operate department equipment such as hand tools, power tools, media blasters, and others as required

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years' experience in manufacturing industry
• 1+ years' experience as a Casting Technician preferred
