As an Application Software Engineer, you will collaborate with our federal partners to swiftly create innovative solutions addressing urgent mission needs. Your role will involve engaging with a diverse array of projects alongside fellow developers, engineers, data analysts, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to conceptualize, build, and evaluate software applications. You will be tasked with assessing our clients' challenges and devising solutions by selecting and utilizing suitable tools and technologies, as well as developing various application types. Responsibilities encompass researching, coding, debugging, and thriving in a dynamic, cooperative team atmosphere. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain regular communication with your team, conduct code evaluations, manage task tracking, and update clients on project progress.

Core Duties:

  • Identify, implement, and modify cutting-edge research methodologies and open-source solutions
  • Investigate, apply, analyze, and document technical strategies and their results
  • Rapidly prototype software solutions both independently and collaboratively
  • Create state-of-the-art solutions to enhance system performance, stability, and processing capabilities
  • Engage in code evaluations, both as a reviewer and contributor
  • Operate within an Agile framework utilizing tools such as Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Teams, and Outlook
  • Enhance your understanding of software development best practices

Essential Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical fields
  • Entry-Level: 0-3 years of experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Compensation: $61,600 - $96,250
  • Junior-Level: 3-5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Compensation: $74,500 - $116,425
  • Mid-Level: 5-8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Compensation: $99,100 - $154,825
  • Senior-Level: 8+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Compensation: $109,100 - $170,450
  • Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Typescript, JavaScript, Go, Rust, C
  • Proficient in at least one of the following database technologies: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB
  • Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance best practices
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proficient with Git and Git workflows
  • Ability to switch contexts between various projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligibility to obtain Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

Desired skills and knowledge:
