Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Construction Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of nuclear construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from design and procurement to construction and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including DOE, DOD, and commercial nuclear construction requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects.
  • In-depth understanding of Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs) and related Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Site Reliability Technician (STR), Field Engineer, or Superintendent in the Piping and/or Mechanical discipline.
  • Familiarity with nuclear quality and commercial practice standards.
