Job Summary

Cox Enterprises seeks an experienced Airframe and Avionics Expert to join our Aviation team. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a subject matter expert for all aircraft in the Cox fleet, ensuring they are maintained to the highest quality standards in accordance with federal regulations, manufacturer's approved methods, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as airframe and avionics expert by maintaining a thorough working knowledge of all company aircraft
  • Accomplish quality maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and inspections
  • Manage and organize computerized maintenance program tasks on assigned aircraft
  • Troubleshoots, tests, repairs, and installs avionics components
  • Responsible for tracking and installing the latest Satcom Direct and Gogo software updates for the fleet
  • Coordinates Cabin View/GCMS upgrades and adjustments
  • Operates, maintains, and coordinates the repair of avionics test equipment and associated trade tools
  • Responsible for aircraft software and data base loading/updates
  • Manage aircraft maintenance discrepancy logs in computerized maintenance program
  • Ensure all Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items are managed within time requirements
  • Ensure the timely completion of Due Items for assigned aircraft
  • Brief Technical Operations Managers daily, or as necessary, for all issues that may impact scheduled passenger operations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' Aviation experience
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (or ability to obtain at company expense after employment)
  • Business Aviation experience preferred
  • Flight Safety Avionics Master Technician Endorsement or FCC GROL license
  • NCATT - Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) endorsement
  • Safety Management System (SMS) course endorsement
  • Strong business acumen and project management skills

Benefits

  • Hourly base pay rate is $42
  • Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year
  • Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave
