Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to establish a productive and high-performing working cell environment in the Casting department. The successful candidate will focus on safety, environmental, production, cost, quality, and people management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure routine management efforts are followed and identify opportunities for improvement in processes, products, and production within Casting.
  • Standardize processes within the area of responsibility, including needs assessments, auditing, coaching, and training.
  • Develop and implement cost and environmental control goals, as well as preventive maintenance and safety management processes and procedures.
  • Administer standardization processes, including documentation and training, to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Audit performance, document findings, and develop corrective action plans to ensure standard compliance.
Requirements
  • A four-year college degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Material Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to standardization and production quality methods.
  • Strong working knowledge of steel manufacturing methods and techniques involving heavy mill machinery and related equipment.
  • Previous experience in scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, maintenance, finishing, shipping/warehouse operations, and supervisory/facilitation.
  • Ability to train and guide people, with solid presentation and interpersonal skills.
