Aircraft Mechanic Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at Dmar General Contracting & Development Inc. as a key member of our maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft systems and equipment, airframes and power plants in accordance with manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations.
  • Perform scheduled inspections, including 100-hour and annual inspections, as authorized.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair associated with inspections.
  • Perform major and minor repairs and alterations as part of line maintenance, heavy maintenance, and structural repair.
  • Maintain and repair equipment used in the department.
  • Perform other incidental duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Verifiable, hands-on experience in the repair, maintenance, overhaul, or manufacture of aircraft.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days-off.
  • Demonstrates good judgment and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of management and pilots.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of flight software (Talon).

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of experience working with general aviation aircraft or similar (Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna 208, Piper Seminole, and Piper Arrow).
