Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our 2nd shift operations team at BLG Logistics, Inc. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of hourly employees to achieve operational excellence and meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and productive work environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct performance management and evaluations to ensure team members are meeting performance expectations.
  • Manage equipment and materials, including maintenance and reporting of incidents and damages.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive process change and improve efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure training records and versatility are up to date, and use audits to check operator knowledge.
  • Record ideas for improvement and present new issues and feedback to the team.
  • Perform Process, 5S, and Standard Work audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Perform duties of Team Member, on the operations floor, as needed.
  • Manage and enforce time and attendance policy, and make scheduling and staffing decisions to support daily customer requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members' performance to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one to three months of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Basic computer use, basic vehicle maintenance, and safety practices and procedures.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Forklift operating license is preferred but on-the-job training is available.
