Overview:
United Health Services is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Behavioral Health team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our mental health patients. The RN will collaborate closely with our onsite provider to conduct patient evaluations, administer injections, manage medication refills, and assist patients experiencing medication-related side effects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care while ensuring compliance with established standards of practice.
- Support the mental health department in various nursing functions.
- Engage in professional development and adhere to the New York State Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: Experience in a clinical nursing setting.
- Preferred: Previous experience in acute care or outpatient environments.
Licensure/Certification:
- Required: Current New York State RN License.
- Preferred: Professional certification in a relevant nursing specialty.
- Relevant skills certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by the assigned unit.
