Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychiatric Specialist to join our team at Lowcountry Medical Practice Management. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric services to adults and children, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. You will work closely with counselors and therapists to support clients during their mental health journey.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in collaborative psycho-pharmacotherapy and experience working with individuals diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness as well as chronic substance abuse. They will also possess knowledge of mental health laws and state and community agencies serving the mentally ill and substance abuse.

About the Role:

- Provide psychiatric services to include evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and children
- Work closely with counselors and therapists to support clients during their mental health journey
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team
- Participate in continuous communication with other members of the treatment team and the patient to monitor and assess the patient's response to medication and treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatment plans

Requirements:

- MD/DO degree with approved psychiatry residency in adult and general psychiatry
- Current license to practice medicine in the State of California
- Ability to provide treatment to severely and persistently mentally ill patients
- Knowledge and experience in providing treatment to individuals diagnosed with both serious and persistent mental illness as well as chronic substance abuse
- Knowledge of mental health laws and state and community agencies serving the mentally ill and substance abuse
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Empathetic and intuitive listener
- Ability to build rapport on a virtual platform and face-to-face
- Comfortable prescribing for anxiety, depression, insomnia, mood disorders, and ADHD
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

Benefits:

This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. The psychiatrist will provide care and treatment to 15-25 patients per day, making this a fast-paced and engaging role.
