Job Overview

Educology Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud architectures for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain AWS cloud security controls, ensuring compliance with HBX standards.
  • Identify and deploy necessary cloud security controls, ensuring secure operation and maintenance of HBX's AWS environment.
  • Manage source-to-image container-based deployment models and image-stream container management.
  • Automate CI pipeline management, security scans, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) management.
  • Support cloud-native, container networking interface, and zero-downtime scaling and upgrades.
  • Manage backups, secrets storage, and auditing mode for infrastructure divergence.
  • Migrate production environments with zero downtime and support automated approval-based continuous deployment (CD).
  • Implement mutual TLS, full dashboard visibility, and automatic graphing of network communication patterns.
  • Support service mesh networking and read-write-many distributed storage clusters.
  • Manage disaster recovery in a different cloud region with RTO/RPO 1 hour.
  • Monitor and analyze security logs, working with HBX IT staff and the Privacy Officer to manage incident response.

Requirements:

  • Five years' experience in IT security, cloud security, and AWS Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAFs, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Encryption, Amazon Cognito, AWS Security Hub, Amazon GuardDuty, and Amazon Inspector expertise.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as NIST, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  • AWS Certified Security Certification – Specialty, earned in the past 5 years.
  • Certifications in CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or CISA are strongly preferred.
