Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to become a vital part of our dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in accounting, particularly within the manufacturing sector. Responsibilities will include managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate financial transaction recording, and providing financial insights to management. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all facets of accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash receipts, customer account reconciliation, and resolving disputes.
  • Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger, ensuring precision and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to guarantee accurate payroll processing.
  • Utilize various software systems, including Canopy, to maintain precise records and generate reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Work alongside the accounting team to enhance processes and boost efficiency.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all financial information.
  • Adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations regarding finance, tax filings, and reporting.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, payroll, or a similar capacity, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including MS Office, Canopy, and accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger and bookkeeping practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting.
