Clinical Research Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
The Clinical Research Nurse plays a vital role in evaluating, coordinating, and managing clinical trials and subjects who participate in research protocols across the healthcare system. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure seamless coordination with the primary investigator and sub-investigators.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and screen potential participants for clinical trials, obtaining informed consent and ensuring compliance with research protocols.
- Coordinate laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws and sample collection, to support clinical trial requirements.
- Collaborate with the Investigational Pharmacy to ensure timely and accurate dispensing of study medications.
- Manage and submit IRB protocols, reports, and revisions to ensure compliance and timely approvals.
- Record and maintain accurate clinical and laboratory data on study participants, ensuring compliance with federal and sponsor regulations.
- Communicate effectively with study sponsors, federal agencies, principal investigators, and sub-investigators to ensure seamless research project execution.
- Provide education and resources to staff, patients, families, and the community regarding research opportunities and protocols.
- Travel to various clinical research sites, hospitals, and facilities as necessary to support research projects.
Requirements
- NC RN licensure required; BSN preferred.
- Clinical research experience preferred; certification in clinical research (SoCRA, ACRP) a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
