Job Description

LanceSoft is seeking an experienced Derivatives Operations Specialist to join our team in New York, USA. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with trading desk and sales force to manage real-time trade booking exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate trading positions in the Front Office system, focusing on correcting discrepancies caused by system bugs, input mistakes, and information loss.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between the trading desk's positions and the firm's books and records to mitigate risk.
  • Participate in event processing and have a thorough understanding of the trade life cycle.
  • Work with technology teams to implement process flow improvements and efficiencies.
  • Contribute to quick resolution of trade issues by liaising with various groups, including Front Office, Back Office, IT Team, P&L Controllers, and Client Services.
Requirements:
  • Strong academic background required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a "split team" organization.
  • Strong desire to learn processes and products.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a new and changing environment.
  • Strong sense of risk and critical thinking.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets with emphasis on Credit and/or Rates Derivatives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory rules for CFTC and EMIR in relation to OTC products.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Excel/PC skills with proven ability to work with multiple systems.
Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
