We are seeking a qualified Dance Teacher to join our team at the Gateway Region YMCA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading dance classes for children and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality dance classes for children of various ages and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of the students.
  • Establish a positive and supportive relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues through verbal and written means.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on YMCA policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with Early Childhood age children preferred.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and a positive attitude toward children.
  • Able to communicate and direct children in the age-appropriate skills involved in class.
  • Must have a basic understanding of Child development and be able to plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities.
