The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapy Medical Physicist to join our team. As a Therapy Medical Physicist, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment to provide a range of radiation oncology services. You will be responsible for performing weekly and monthly radiation measurements, monitoring equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department, and maintaining regulatory agency records and reports. You will also analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.

Clinic Information:
  • This position is based at St Francis Health in Indianapolis.
  • This role is supported by 1 other physicists, 2 dosimetrists, and 4 Radiation Oncologists.
  • The facility is equipped with 2 Elekta VersaHDs, Monaco, and Oncentra TPS with Mosaiq record and verify, as well as all Sun Nuclear Equipment for QA.
What You'll Do
  • Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
  • Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.
  • Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
  • Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
  • Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
  • Perform additional duties, as needed.
What You'll Need
  • Master's Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
  • 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations.
  • A willingness to go "above and beyond" for clients and fellow colleagues.
  • Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
  • Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires ability to use and move equipment.
  • Requires a variety of physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, stopping, lifting, carrying.
  • Exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to radiation therapy setting.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work.
