POSITION SUMMARY:

Job Purpose: Deliver top-notch support, care, and supervision to our senior residents by providing personal care services and assistance with daily living activities, ensuring our assisted living and memory care residents feel at home.


Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties

1. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

2. Offer direct personal assistance and supervision to assisted living and memory care residents in activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, walking, and addressing personal needs.

3. Document daily assistance provided.

4. Perform non-routine housekeeping tasks, including cleaning spills, doing laundry, emptying trash, changing linens, or helping residents with their beds.

5. Respond promptly to any incidents involving residents and document accordingly.

6. Monitor and record vital signs as required.

7. Participate in mandatory training sessions and complete all scheduled training programs.


Qualifications and Skills Required for Effective Performance:

  • Understanding of principles and processes for delivering resident and personal care services.
  • Able to recognize when a resident may be in distress or require assistance.
  • Effective listening and comprehension skills for communication with residents and their families.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly to residents and their families.

Education and Licenses: Proficiency in basic arithmetic, grammar, spelling, and punctuation is necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A valid CNA license is mandatory unless working provisionally while preparing for state certification. CPR and first aid certifications must be obtained and maintained.

Experience: 0-3 months of experience as a nursing assistant, home health aide, or volunteer in eldercare settings.

Special Requirements:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively as per regulatory standards.
  2. Must demonstrate compassion and understanding towards the elderly, frail, and disabled individuals.
  3. Appropriate professional attire and personal hygiene are expected.
  4. Compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures, including the Employee Handbook, is essential.
  5. Support and uphold the rights and responsibilities of residents in adult care settings.
  6. Maintain confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and company information.
  7. Engagement in training and in-service programs as required by the Company and applicable state standards, including OSHA training, CPR, etc.
  8. Staff are prohibited from accepting gratuities from residents, family members, vendors, or visitors.
