Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapy Student Technician to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapy Student Technician, you will work under the supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner (RCP) to administer non-invasive respiratory care/therapy to patients as ordered by the attending physician.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments
  • Record patient information on patient medical record
  • Perform non-invasive diagnostic tests and non-invasive respiratory therapy, i.e. nebulizer therapy
  • Administer and monitor continuous oxygen therapy
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, be currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care program, and have active student status. You will also need to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David's HealthCare policy and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as per St. David's HealthCare policy, if required.
