The Clerical Nurse Assistant III is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure seamless operations within our department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities and provide basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Perform a variety of clerical and clinical duties to support nursing staff, including data collection, documentation, and transcription of physician orders.
- Support the telemetry function by monitoring cardiac rhythms and communicating information to licensed personnel.
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to patient requests and communicating effectively with healthcare team members.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned to promote efficient functioning of the unit and support the overall mission of Eastern Connecticut Health Network.
- High school graduate or equivalent required; completion of a certified nursing assistant program is strongly preferred.
- Nursing students with clinical experience may be considered.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support is required upon hire or during the new employee introductory orientation period.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
