The Whey Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership within the Nutrition department by developing and implementing comprehensive training, safety, and quality programs to maximize employee performance.
  • Defining and supervising the work of team leaders within the Nutrition department.
  • Driving performance management initiatives and promoting employee engagement and development.
  • Building and nurturing collaborative relationships to create a positive and productive work atmosphere.
  • Ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing the production process to guarantee that finished products meet stringent quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness through effective scheduling and resource management.
  • Managing departmental budgets to align with financial goals and objectives.
  • Ensuring production targets and efficiency metrics are achieved in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Leading safety initiatives to cultivate a secure working environment.
  • Equipping team members with the necessary training and tools to perform their roles safely.
  • Setting and exemplifying standards for safety accountability.
  • Overseeing quality assurance systems to meet established quality benchmarks.
  • Monitoring sanitation practices to uphold food safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
  • A minimum of 8 years in food manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to learn manufacturing software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in dairy or cheese manufacturing.
  • Direct leadership experience over team leaders.
