Job Description:
As a Lead Relay Field Engineer at Qualus, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of the electric grid. Your primary responsibilities include calibrating, installing, maintaining, and repairing protective relays and associated equipment. You will also be required to troubleshoot complex control systems, substation protection systems, station automation, and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret project-level scope of work and effectively plan commissioning and resource scheduling.
  • Interpret substation drawings and write procedures and/or test plans for maintenance and construction activities.
  • Test and verify all voltage and current inputs to relays, metering, alarms, and function switches.
  • Lead and perform routine troubleshooting and repair of substation relaying and control equipment.
  • Commission new substations, power equipment, relaying, pilot channel equipment, controls, and communications equipment.
  • Provide Project Technical Support to Field Service personnel and technical mentorship to junior level field service personnel.
