Utilizing a company vehicle equipped with a compact, portable x-ray machine (DR) to travel locally and perform x-rays for patients in various facilities, catering to diverse patient demographics including adults, seniors, women, and children.

Depending on the market, you may also engage in EKGs, Holter Monitors, and Pacemaker Checks.

Position Details:
Operating hours from 6 am to 10 pm, with options for either 10-hour or 8-hour shifts. Flexible scheduling is available, along with competitive compensation and benefits. A company vehicle is provided, and on-site training is offered. New graduate RTs are welcome to apply, and Limited Scope candidates will be considered. Opportunities for professional growth are available, along with license renewal reimbursement. The role typically involves a 1:1 patient ratio, allowing you to see up to 8 patients per shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Your daily tasks as a mobile radiologic technologist will include: Traveling by vehicle to perform portable x-rays in various environments, such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations.

Assessing appropriate electronic and technical factors based on patient requirements.
Adhering to ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
Preparing and transmitting accurate physician and patient orders in a timely manner.

Setting, adjusting, and operating a range of electronic equipment to capture diagnostic images, which may include EKGs and Holter Monitors.

Ensuring that equipment is operational and available (in the vehicle) before and after each shift.

Assisting with order processing, validation of studies, communication with reading radiologists, customer follow-ups, and other administrative and customer support tasks as needed.


Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including one or more of the following: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R)

Limited Scope X-ray Operator — in accordance with state-specific regulations. A valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Candidates should be able to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs easily while carrying equipment.
