Job Title: Residential Assistant

Exceptional Children's Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Assistant to join our team. As a Residential Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents with developmental and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Supervise residents during meal times and encourage social interaction.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate records.
  • Transport residents to appointments and social activities.
  • Perform household tasks, including cleaning and laundry.
Requirements:
  • Two years of experience working with special needs populations.
  • Valid California driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background investigation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to crisis situations.
Work Environment:

This is an ICF/DDN licensed group home for adults with varying degrees of developmental and physical disabilities. The work environment may include frequent interruptions, loud noise, and varying indoor temperature.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include the ability to move and transfer residents, assist with transfers, and operate medical equipment. The ability to safely operate a 12-15-passenger van is also required.

Exceptional Children's Foundation offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.28 to $20.40 per hour, depending on experience.
