As a Cath Lab Technologist at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians during invasive radiological procedures. Your expertise in radiologic technology will enable you to take high-quality films of the body, aiding in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and administer contrast when necessary.
- Position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
- Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on radiology equipment, and identify/report accidents/complaints/equipment malfunctions.
- Take emergency calls within the department and ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
