UPMC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our outpatient Internal Medicine team.

Compensation Structure:
$5,000 for a 1-year commitment for recent graduates or those with 0-1 year of experience.
$7,000 for a 1-year commitment for candidates with 1+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care to patients in the office setting under the guidance of healthcare providers.
- Perform blood draws and adhere to the standards set by regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications via various routes including oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous drip.
- Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatment procedures.
- Evaluate patients' overall health by monitoring vital signs and weight.
- Follow all established policies and procedures diligently.
- Conduct IV therapy under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Accurately document all nursing activities, patient responses, and medications in the medical records.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and medical records.
- Foster wellness by providing educational materials and conveying physician instructions to patients.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited LPN nursing program.

Licensure and Certifications:
- Act 33 clearance with renewal
- Act 34 clearance with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- CPR certification must meet AHA standards, including both theoretical and practical components within 30 days of hire.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
