Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Unit, particularly those requiring telemetry oversight.
  • Operate telemetry devices to monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms, taking immediate action as needed.
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, maintain precise medical documentation, and communicate any changes in patient status.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring patients receive adequate education regarding their care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to formulate and execute individualized patient care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge instructions.
  • Follow infection control guidelines and uphold a secure patient care environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • BSN is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a medical surgical unit with telemetry proficiency.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
