Position Summary

We are looking for a Materials Handler to bolster our warehouse operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are received, organized, accurately selected, and packaged promptly for distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regularly lifts or moves items weighing up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 35 pounds, often requiring assistance during unloading and sorting of palletized goods.
  • Frequently engages in pushing and pulling tasks.
  • Operates effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Adheres to both verbal and written instructions, utilizing paperwork and manifests to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Utilizes forklifts and/or pallet jacks to retrieve products for production needs.
  • Ensures all work is completed safely and efficiently, in compliance with safety standards and procedures.
  • Regularly checks that product handling minimizes damage.
  • Accurately submits required documentation.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Employs RF scanners for inventory management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Possession of a valid license to operate company equipment.
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations is advantageous.
  • Experience with Reach Trucks, Cherry Pickers, and Sit-Down Forklifts is preferred.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new skills is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to punctuality are necessary.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this position include regular communication, frequent sitting, standing, walking, and the use of hands for various tasks. The employee must be capable of lifting and moving items as specified above, with specific vision abilities necessary for close and distance tasks.

Employees will work in an open environment with varying temperatures and standard lighting. Proficiency in using computers and mobile devices for extended periods is required, along with the ability to navigate multiple floors for meetings and collaboration.
