Salary and Benefits

">

We offer a competitive salary range of $46k-56k per year for full-time positions. For part-time project-based work, pay varies depending on location and contract, with a minimum rate of $18-22/hour plus $4.98/hour H&W benefit for federal projects. Additionally, we provide lodging and meal stipends based on GSA rates.

Job Description

">

As a Field Archaeologist with ERG, you will be responsible for conducting archaeological investigations on federal and state contracts in Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, and Kentucky. Your tasks will include pedestrian survey with shovel testing and unit excavation, documentation of archaeological sites, and identification and description of precontact and historic period artifacts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To succeed in this role, you must have a minimum of a B.A. in anthropology, archaeology, paleontology, or a related field. You should be able to walk 4 to 8 miles a day for survey work, excavate shovel tests, screen dirt, and use hand-held devices to record data. Experience with cultural resource management and archaeological fieldwork is highly desirable.
