The Opportunity

As a Linux IT Administrator and Engineer, you will be part of a team that implements custom environments and resolves technical issues in support of a next-generation collaboration capability. This capability is a high-visibility requirement with the Customer, integrating the latest IT commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software.

You will be at the forefront of developing and enforcing security protocols for secure, multi-party capabilities for users across various domain classifications. You will work with various users to collect requirements for data centers, including mission analysts and data owners, GOTS and COTS developers, and consumers and owners of mission data. You will conduct and analyze site surveys, prepare site preparation requirements, and installation plans. You'll build, configure, and test each system and hardware suite prior to shipment and implementation. You will create and update documentation, including post-installation documentation packages, installation guides, configuration guides, user guides, test plans and procedures, technical reports, and presentation materials.

As a Linux Specialist, you will focus on mission capabilities and Linux-based COTS applications. As capabilities are implemented in our Production environment, you will contribute to the extended phases of monitoring, sustainment, and process improvement.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience as an IT Engineer in programs and contracts
  • Experience with RHEL and CENTOS Operating systems
  • Ability to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or Information Security System Engineering
  • Security+ Certification

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • LINUX administration Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137, annualized USD. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
