Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Sweeping Corporation of America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of our machinery and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, maintain, and repair machinery and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve functionality issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to maximize machine reliability.
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned, including repair of hydraulic systems and painting vehicles.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of working experience as a mechanic.
  • Toolbox and basic hand tools.
  • Ability to perform standard chassis PM services, including fluid and filter changes and grease components.
  • Ability to perform basic inspections and complete basic repairs.
  • Ability and willingness to assist higher-level mechanics and perform repairs under their supervision.
  • Valid driver's license, preferred.
  • Experience working on heavy equipment, preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and have a positive attitude.
  • Consistent attendance.
  • Use of all required PPE and work safely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work a flexible schedule, including overtime on occasion.
  • Work in high-noise environments with exposure to vibration and fumes.
  • Active, physical work occasionally involving lifting 50 lbs, frequently involving carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, and standing.
