About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Primary Care Nurse to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with providers to deliver high-quality services.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated nurse to work in a fast-paced primary care environment. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing nursing services to patients across various age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Triaging patients by phone or electronic correspondence, utilizing clinical judgment and protocols to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Delivering patient education on preventive care, chronic disease management, acute diagnoses, medications, and other relevant topics to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Preparing patients for visits using standardized rooming tools and administering injections and medications as prescribed by providers.
  • Performing Point of Care Testing, collecting laboratory specimens, and authorizing prescription refills as instructed by providers.
  • Assisting providers with procedures, minor surgeries, and exams, as well as maintaining exam rooms and medical equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites and occasional regional travel.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with one to two years of experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office, as well as prior triage, emergency room, cardiac care, intensive care, or other related specialty nursing experience.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability, retirement savings account with company matching, paid time off, and more.
