We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to join our team at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to our Respiratory Care Services department, ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide supervision and guidance to respiratory therapists and other department staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and perform clinical modalities as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve department efficiency and patient outcomes
- Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program
- Associate Degree or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Clear/active Florida licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of five years of experience in clinical respiratory therapy in an acute hospital environment
- One year of supervisory experience
