We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Med Surg Float Pool team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and achieving positive outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their needs are met and their care is coordinated.
- Assess, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide general nursing care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
- Respond to Code Blue situations and initiate protocols, special procedures, and cardiac monitoring as needed.
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, and arranging testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
- Review and maintain patient records, including posting test results and examination findings.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least two years of full-time equivalent Acute Care RN experience in the designated area, or approval by the CNO for less than two years of experience.
