Mental Health Associate II Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Associate II to join our team at MultiCare Health System, Inc. This role is responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients experiencing confusion, suicidal ideation, or other psychiatric conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, current BLS certification, and a Washington State Certified Nurse Assistant license. Previous patient care experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting, is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe assigned patients, maintaining a direct line of vision and communicating unusual occurrences to the nurse responsible for the patient.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Provide direct patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse and maintain clean and orderly utility rooms.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current Washington State Certified Nurse Assistant license
  • Previous patient care experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting
