Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant in Home Health plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their homes. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that promote independence and overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • You will instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment, ensuring that they receive the best possible care within the scope of your practice.
  • Observing, recording, and reporting patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician is a critical aspect of this role.
  • You will coordinate care with other healthcare team members as needed, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Instructing patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members on therapy areas within your scope of practice is also an essential responsibility.
Requirements
  • Current OTA licensure in the state of employment is required.
  • CPR certification is also necessary.
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, as well as access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation, are required for this role.
