Job Description

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced research assistant to join our team in the Department of Chemistry. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about scientific research and want to contribute to cutting-edge projects.

About the Role

This position will involve assisting with various laboratory tasks, including experimental design, data analysis, and report preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry, biological sciences, and/or analytical instrumentation.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with routine lab management to ensure that the lab is in working order.
  • Participating in experiments related to immunology, cancer, and neuroscience.
  • Operating laboratory instruments and equipment, including mass spectrometers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Laboratory experience (1-10 years).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with chemical proteomics, biochemistry, cell biology, mass spectroscopy, synthetic chemistry, flow cytometry, molecular biology, or analytical instrumentation.
