John Muir Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team in the Infusion Pharmacy department. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective use of medications and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medication order verification and assess for optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, and effective administration.
- Interact with patients, family, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of services and achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and assume essential responsibilities of pharmacy management in their absence.
- Lead pharmacy services in a clinical or operational area of the health system and provide expertise and oversight to staff.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- California Board of Pharmacy licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPH).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association required by [date] for staff working Unit-Based Shifts.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association required for staff working in Pediatric Unit-Based shifts and Emergency Department Unit-Based Shifts.
- Advanced Practice Pharmacist License (APh) preferred.
- Experience in the area of hematology/oncology.
- Basic knowledge of solid tumors, hematology, and common treatments.
- Able to educate, monitor, order, and follow labs for patients on chemotherapy regimens.
- Prior experience in Inpatient pharmacy or Infusion Center setting.
- Prior experience in Oncology Pharmacy setting.
This position will work variable shifts, including days, weekends, and shifts. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
CompensationThe hourly pay rate for this position is $114.26. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
