About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Advocate to join our team at American Addiction Centers. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery journey of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming and Orienting Patients: Greet new patients, assist with orientation to our programming schedule and rules, and conduct patient belongings searches.
  • Observation and Support: Observe clients' daily activities, provide support and encouragement, and assist with service coordination as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the treatment team, participate in weekly treatment team meetings, and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure the best care for our patients.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that all necessary documentation meets contract, licensure, accreditation, and standards for services in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences required, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral healthcare field.
  • Certifications and Skills: State recognized (IC&RC) alcohol and drug certification required, with knowledge of electronic health record software and documentation.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Prolonged sitting at a desk, with the ability to lift 15 pounds at a time.
