Seeking a dedicated Medical Assessment Professional to work in a clinical setting with the United States Veterans Administration. This rewarding role involves conducting medical assessments on veterans as part of the disability benefits process.
We are looking for an individual who is interested in performing independent medical assessments and has excellent time management skills. As a Medical Assessment Professional, you will review medical records electronically and perform focused physical exams on each veteran. You will then document the exam findings required by the VA through their web portal.
This position does not involve making disability determinations; rather, it performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 veterans per day. The ideal candidate will be skilled in analyzing data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
Key attributes for this role include:
- Able to work independently and stay on task
- Skilled in time management
- Proficiently use a computer
- Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive training and continued support provided by our team. Health insurance options are available, and a computer will be supplied for your use.
A typical day in this role would consist of working with 3 to 5 patients, and all work is performed in a clinical setting. If you find it rewarding to serve the veteran community and enjoy working a set schedule during normal business hours without being on call, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
