Women's Rehabilitation Counselor Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Women's Drug counselor to join our team at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in San Francisco. As a leading provider of rehabilitation services, we offer a supportive and dynamic work environment that fosters growth and development.
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year (DOE/DOQ)
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women struggling with substance abuse. As a Women's Drug counselor, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our beneficiaries, helping them to overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.
You will work closely with our counseling staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans, utilizing your expertise in clinical psychology and substance abuse counseling. Your role will also involve teaching and mentoring, as you help our beneficiaries to acquire new skills and knowledge necessary for successful reintegration into society.
Requirements and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of work/volunteer experience in the substance abuse field - Clinical Psychology or related field
- Current certifications, i.e., CADC-CAS
- Ability to make critical decisions and work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, MS Word, Excel, and Access, with ability to learn additional software as appropriate
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to track multiple tasks efficiently, completing each in a professional and timely fashion
- Professional judgment and integrity in holding in confidence all information pertaining to beneficiaries, families, and co-workers
- Commitment to support and apply the philosophy and goals of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center Program and the ARC Mission Statement
- Active Christian worldview
- If in recovery, must have 3 years of continuous sobriety
- No evidence of existing chemical dependency
- Must be willing to travel to events both in the area and in the territory
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
- Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
