Position Objective:
This role involves supporting the assessment, selection, and implementation of standard engineering methodologies, procedures, and criteria. The focus is on making minor adjustments and enhancements to power plant system components to boost reliability, safety, and efficiency. Additionally, the position includes monitoring water chemistry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in engineering analyses aimed at enhancing plant safety, performance, and reliability.
- Gather and document equipment performance metrics and vibration data.
- Support the balancing of rotating machinery.
- Contribute to maintenance planning and inventory management tasks.
- During unit outages, aid in the inspection of plant systems and the coordination of necessary repairs.
- Input maintenance and repair data for all plant equipment into management software.
- Oversee water chemistry for various water systems.
- Maintain and update the drawing database by recording any changes.
- Assist with mechanical engineering tasks at additional generation stations.
- Compile generation performance reports.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited mechanical engineering program.
- Proficient in technical writing and familiar with spreadsheet and database software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Resume submission is required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position necessitates frequent sitting and the ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, with occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, and crawling. The role may involve working at heights and requires the use of safety equipment. The incumbent must be capable of analyzing data, conducting research, implementing recommendations, coordinating projects, and presenting information effectively.
