Role Overview:
As the Senior Manager of Electrical Operations, you will be responsible for the management and enhancement of the Bank's electrical distribution systems. This includes overseeing 15kV switchgear, emergency power generators, UPS systems, alternative energy resources, building management controls, access systems, video surveillance, and various low-voltage networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead electrical infrastructure enhancement initiatives and modernization planning for all electrical system components.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise the maintenance and operation of electrical systems by both in-house teams and external contractors, establishing effective processes and procedures.
  • Consultant Coordination: Direct and review the work of electrical consultants and contractors during design and execution phases, assisting in contractor selection and equipment procurement.
  • Contract Management: Analyze proposals and cost estimates from contractors, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications through thorough coordination and inspection.
  • Energy Conservation: Recommend strategies related to energy efficiency initiatives.

Technical Assistance:
Provide expert guidance on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with current codes and regulations. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Collaboration:
Work closely with the Manager of Plant Operations and electrical supervisors to schedule and allocate resources effectively, integrating contractor personnel as needed.

Budget Administration:
Manage cost center expenses and capital budgets, ensuring accuracy in requisitions and invoices. Collaborate with HR on personnel matters, including recruitment and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineering license is highly preferred.
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in Office 365, project management software, and CAD applications.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, navigate uneven terrain, and access confined spaces for inspections.
