Job Summary

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Sunstate Equipment, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, minor and major repairs on hydraulics, electrical, ignition, transmission, drive trains, and pneumatic systems. You will also be expected to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel and gas engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
* Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel and gas engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan
* Collaborate with the team to achieve goals and support each other in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

* 1-3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment background
* Experience with diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, as well as drive trains
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with a good mechanical aptitude
* Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
