Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at North East Medical Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive healthcare to patients and working closely with the clinic team to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care and work closely with the clinic team to ensure smooth operations.
- Determine staffing ratios and coordinate with the Nursing Manager to ensure adequate coverage.
- Manage vaccine and floor medication inventory, ordering and tracking.
- Implement clinic and regulatory protocols, including those determined by the Medical Quality Assurance Committee and the Medical Director.
- Coordinate EWC, CPSP, CHDP/VFC, and DPH vaccine programs.
- Prepare and participate in health plan and program audits.
- Provide patient care when short-staffed, including taking vital signs, performing EKGs, immunizations, and inserting urinary catheters.
- Administer medications, including intravenous infusions, as ordered.
- Assign tasks to Licensed Vocational Nurses and Medical Assistants based on their scope of practice.
- Assist with difficult patients and provide care management for high-risk patients.
- Make referrals to other departments and outside agencies as needed.
- Perform telephone and drop-in triage and handle emergency responses.
- Educate patients about health problems, treatment regimens, and medical procedures.
- Implement medication plans as ordered by providers and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
- Prepare for clinic audits and perform coverage for RN team leads as needed.
- Perform other job duties as required by the manager or supervisor.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing Program.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Current Unrestricted Nevada Registered Nurse License.
- Recent experience in a clinic or outpatient setting is desirable.
- Ability to provide nursing care to patients as described in the Nursing Practice Act.
- Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write English.
- Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required.
- Fluency in other languages is an asset.
