Job Description:
As a Custom Cabinet Craftsman, your primary responsibility will be to fabricate custom cabinetry and woodwork from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with our design and production teams to ensure that all products adhere to our stringent standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your woodworking expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to interpret design specifications will be essential in delivering outstanding results to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and comprehend design plans, blueprints, and specifications to create tailored cabinetry and woodwork.
- Select suitable materials based on project requirements and client preferences.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components using both hand and power tools.
- Ensure precision and accuracy in all facets of cabinet construction and installation.
- Sand, finish, and install completed cabinetry and woodwork on-site as necessary.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Custom Cabinet Craftsman or in a similar role within a millwork or woodworking setting.
- In-depth knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in all aspects of woodworking.
- Proficiency in utilizing hand and power tools, including saws, routers, and sanders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot issues during the construction process.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in woodworking is advantageous.
