We are seeking a highly skilled Insulation Technician to join our team at Spray Foam America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing high-quality spray foam insulation in residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and Dispose of Old Insulation: Safely remove and dispose of old insulation materials to prepare surfaces for new insulation.
  • Measure and Cut Insulation: Measure and cut insulation to fit perfectly into walls, around electrical and piping, and other areas.
  • Secure Insulation: Use staples, tape, or screws to secure insulation in place, ensuring a tight seal.
  • Operate Spray Foam Equipment: Safely operate spray foam equipment, including generators and air compressors, to apply insulation.
  • Install Plastic Barriers: Install plastic barriers to protect insulation from moisture and ensure a long-lasting seal.
Other Duties
  • Install Fire-Stopping Materials: Install fire-stopping materials to prevent the spread of fire and smoke throughout buildings.
  • Remove Old Insulation: Remove old insulation when renovating buildings, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
  • Use Hand and Power Tools: Use a variety of hand and power tools, including knives, trowels, scissors, hammers, and staple guns, to fasten insulation to walls.
  • Protect Insulation: Wrap insulation with aluminum, sheet metal, or plastic to protect it from damage and moisture.
  • Install Insulation in Attics, Floors, and Walls: Install insulation in attics, under floors, and behind walls in homes and other buildings, ensuring a tight seal and energy efficiency.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Occasional heavy lifting, constant climbing, bending, stooping, crawling, reaching, and other awkward body positions are required.
  • Work Environment: Work is performed outside in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to withstand the physical demands of the job.
  • Mathematical Calculations: Ability to perform mathematical calculations and read or understand a tape measure.
  • Basic Reading Comprehension: Basic reading comprehension skills are required.
  • English Language: Ability to speak and understand basic English.
  • Right to Work: Requirement to prove right to work legally within the boundaries of the United States of America.
  • Drug-Free Workplace: Ability to work in a drug-free environment.
  • Reliability: Ability to show up on time every day and work.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license for lead sprayers.
